Lace front wig Vs lace part wig

Lace front wig Vs lace part wig

Today we are going to compare lace front wigs to lace part wigs, what are the differences between lace front wigs and lace part wigs, why you might choose one, or the other, or a mixture of both.

What is the lace front wig?

A lace front wig is a wig with a lace piece at the hairline. The lace part of lace front wigs can be a kind of harder French lace (a little bit scratchy) or softer Swiss lace which will blend into your hairline a little bit better. The lace front wig can create a realistic visual effect that is just like the hair are growing from your natural scalp. After gluing, the lace front is invisible and you can tidy the simulated realistic baby hair around the front.

The lace front is meant to blend in with your natural hairline so that it does look more natural than a wig without a lace front hairline. So in the front, you can see a little bit of lace and they can be in different ways: ear to ear lace; or free parting lace, which is a larger section so that you can part it anywhere. And you can see the baby hair in the front is hand-tied, so they're very natural and exquisite. The lace front commonly comes in sizes: 13x4, 13x5, 13x6, 4x4, 5x5, etc, it's customized.

Pros and Cons of lace front wig:

Pros of a lace front wig are that it looks more natural than one that isn't a lace front. It's more comfortable and lightweight. And they usually come more customizable in general. And there is a lot of styling options like ponytails, sideburns with a top knot, etc.

Human hair lace front wigs are so natural in appearance and you're not gonna instantaneously know that it's a wig.

Cons of a lace front wig are while you have the lace over time, it may become stretched and loosen. And the other con to a lace front wig is that the lace is fragile cause it's more delicate. If you're plucking or styling or even gluing it down or washing, you can tear the lace, and once you really do that you are ruining the wig.

So those are some pros and cons to lace front wigs.

What is the lace parting wig?

lace part wig can come in different scenarios, a lace part wig commonly comes with a full cap and just lace right in the parting area. You could have a skin top parting that looks like a realistic scalp. A lace part wig with a full cap means no lace front.

Pros and cons of a lace part wig

One of the pros of lace part wig is that a lot of lace part wigs are easy to wear. You just put them on, it's not a lot of fuss, you don't have to worry about cutting off the lace. But a con to lace part wig is that you can't always pull them back, you could create baby hairs and things to cover, but this is gonna be a full cap, where you're actually gonna see a line of demarcation, so you don't have as much styling options with a lace part wig. So that's pros and cons with a lace part wig. A lace part wig could be easier maybe better for a beginner, but you're not able to pull all hair off of your face. You are gonna make sure that you do camouflage where the cap is.

Lace front wig Vs lace part wig, which is better?

Both lace front wig and lace part wig can provide a natural-looking, comfortable, and breathable for wearing, which are perfect for African American women. But a lace part wig is easier to put on than a lace front wig, cause there is just a little bit of lace part in the middle of the top. And the lace front wig has more versatile styling than a lace part wig, cause the lace part of lace part wigs is just on the middle, you can only do a middle part with a lace part wig.
